     Jim and Chris were married in 1966 and began their ministry together after Jim's graduation from Bible school in 1969. During Jim's four years in the U.S. Air Force, they were associated with a church in New Mexico, and later ministered in military fellowship groups in Germany. Following their time in the military, they pastored churches in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Texas. Altogether, they have more than 30 years of pastoral experience.

     Jim has bachelor's degrees in Bible and Mass Communications, and a master's degree in psychology. He has taught Psychology, Child Psychology, and Marriage and Family courses on the college level. He has been an ordained minister since 1976 and is a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

     Chris grew up in a minister's home and is well acquainted with all types of church work. She is proficient in both piano and organ and has served as a teacher and women's group leader in their pastorates.

     One of the turning points in their ministry took place when Chris was stricken with severe clinical depression. She was hospitalized several times and underwent electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) on two different occasions. On her long road to recovery, she has had many opportunities to minister to others who have struggled with major depression. Together, Jim and Chris have been able to bring instruction and biblical encouragement to individuals and families who have been touched by severe depression.

     In 2002, Jim was asked to write an Introduction to Pastoral Counseling textbook for Global University, and in 2006 he was asked to join the faculty there and help put together a minor in that field. Global University is an accredited university, and a part of International Ministries of Assemblies of God World Missions. Now, as AGWM missionaries, Jim and Chris are supported by contributions from churches and individuals and are available to minister in churches, small groups, and seminars. They would enjoy visiting with anyone interested in having them for ministry.
